DRUM SCANNING AND FLATBED SCANNING

Pochron’s technical and color expertise ensures the optimal quality fine art scans. Our scanning is most suitable for photographic prints, negatives, and slides, but we also scan paintings, drawings, and various other materials. If an artist is moving to print from a negative, scanning will be a necessary part of the artistic process if a digital print is desired over an analog C-print.

Our Heidelberg Tango drum scanner can accommodate original artwork and film up to 17.7 inches x 18.8 inches with a maximum output of 11,000 DPI in 8 or 16 bit color. Flatbed scanning is also available on our Epson 11000XL which can accommodate artwork up to 12.2 inches x 17.2 inches. For pieces larger than this size, it may be an option to stitch multiple flatbed scans together. Drum scanning will provide the best quality scan with the sharpest details, so it can be necessary for large-scale digital printing. Pochron optimizes shadow detail, maximizes sharpness and creates the perfect digital file for all output needs.
